Hazleton's population grew over the past decade by about 20 percent, but earned income tax receipts remained the same. This is because many illegal immigrants settled in among the legal immigrants.

Yes, Hazleton is growing, The surrounding industrial parks are bringing many big companies in to the area, which have brought many people from NY, NJ, and RI. Home prices are low and the Mayor, local police, and firemen do a wonderful job of keeping city safe.

Yes, Hazleton is a great City and is growing each year with more and more families coming in from the NJ, NY and surrounding metropolitan area. More and more industry and the current Mayor has worked hard to keep it a safe and enjoyable community.

Hazleton is growing in a positive way thanks to its location, near major interstates such as Rt 80 and 81. It is also experiencing growth due to the amount of jobs that the CanDo corp is bringing in with its large industrial parks that have attracted large comanies, most recently Amazon. Taxes are low too which is a wonderful thing.
