Hello Sushihay,

I am not sure if you are talking about Escondido as a whole, or are more interested in a particular zip code in Escondido. Below are 4 zip codes in Escondido, along with the median price of a single family home in May 2014, along with the price change from May 2013. This is merely one way to look at what prices are doing on a year over year basis.

Escondido S 92025 $400,000 -2.3%
Escondido N 92026 $380,000 -0.4%
Escondido E 92027 $365,000 2.4%
EscondidoW 92029 $615,000 2.5%

According to SDAR, this zip code is up 5% for the year. As in every location, there are micro pockets where some subdivisions are more popular than others.

Newer homes are seen as more desirable than older homes, remodeled homes do better than homes in original condition, etc.

If you want an honest assessment about YOUR home's value, your best bet is to have a Realtor come and offer you a market evaluation.

Take care.
