Area mountains are easy to track miles...usually. 8768 Four Mile Canyon is 8.7 miles up the canyon from Boulder Canyon Drive. You are about 10-12 miles from Downtown Boulder/Pearl Street. But it is 8.7+ miles of mountain roads. Travel time varies by conditions. 25 minutes on a clear day.
However, this property is not for sale. For some reason we often see old listings on Trulia. It makes no sense and we report these things to them. As local trulia agent, it's frustrating that questions come in about properties that are NOT for Sale. It sold to the current owners in 2011.
If you are interested in a current search of the close in Boulder Mountains, please contact me via email or here on trulia and I would be glad to help. I can assure you that the properties I send to you, or any other agent sends from the MLS...will be accurate and updated. Thanks for your question.

Hi Your Wife: This house is about 11.5 miles from Pearl St. Mall, of which 4.8 is unpaved, according to Mapquest. See the link below. Mountain driving is slower because of all the curves and the up and down sections. A lot will depend on your driving habits and the road conditions on any particular day. If being close to Boulder is an issue for you, I would suggest some areas up Lee Hill Rd. (including Olde Stage Rd.) and Sunshine Canyon Rd. Pinebrook Hills and Boulder Heights are also nice, but I suspect they may be too much like subdivisions with large lots for your taste.

Kind regards,

Hi - this home is probably a 30 minute drive to Boulder BUT easily a forty five minute drive uphill in anything other than clear/dry driving conditions. Boulder mountain homes are very desirable, do you have a style/budget goal you are in search of? Check out my blog at http://www.BoulderRealEstateNews.com for timely information about Boulder. Best of luck - Bob

There are lots of issues to consider before buying in the mountains near Boulder. I helped buyers purchase two homes in Fourmile Canyon in the past 12 months, so please feel free to contact me with any other questions. But, as otherwise noted here, this particular listing sold.

8768 Fourmile is approximately 12 miles from the heart of downtown Boulder. The address on Fourmile tells you the distance from Canyon Blvd., where Fourmile starts, so in this case 8.7 miles and then about 3 miles up Canyon Blvd. to get to Fourmile Canyon.

This property, however, sold on 11.30. Happy to help if you need more information.

Anna...this property sold 11/30/11. Have you seen this happening with Trulia too? New listings every day that are not for sale? Everyone should use coloproperty.com for searches or your agent's website.
