Hi Pat,
Gateway is a small community in itself with banks, gas station, cleaners, Dr's office's etc. The Publix grocery is a few minutes away at Colonial and Hwy 82 with several restaurants. About a mile down Colonial is another Publix shopping plaza on the left and then the Forum has Home Depot, Restaurants, Pet Supermarket etc. and a little further west on Colonial Blvd are lots of restaurants, Walmart, Kohl's, Hobbie shops etc. The Edison Mall (indoor mall) has Macy's, JC Penny, Sears as main stores and is a short drive further west just off Colonial and US41. The Gulf Coast Towne Center Mall is best accessed by driving approx. 8 miles south on I-75 and taking exit 128 Alico Rd exit. The Miramar Outlet mall is a couple miles further south and can be accessed from the same exit off Ben Hill Griffin. The Coconut Point Mall (large outdoor shops, restaurants and business') is located approx. 2-3 miles west of the Miramar Outlet Mall.
Thanks so much for your question. I look forward to hopefully working with you to find the best property that suits your needs. Let me know how you would like to view properties. I am giving you an access website below where you can save your favorites and ask me questions about any property you find of interest.

Hi Pat

That property been sold. If I can suggest two things for you.

If you are not familiar with the area, consider renting before buying. You can use this
time to pick out the area you really would like to live in, then consider buying..

The second thing, hire a Realtor. It cost you nothing and you will save yourself time and I be able to send you the properties you would consider as oppose to you spending your time looking through properties you would not. This is a common mistake most buyers make, they look at properties, than a Realtor..

You can get some idea what is available for you here> http://www.RealtorRonGroup.com

If you just planning to rent, My Company is a Full Service Brokerage

Closest real shopping malls are Gulf Coast Town Center at I-75 and Alico Road or Bell Tower Mall at US-41 and Daniels. The Colonial corridor doesn't have a lot of restaurant choices, so those malls are your best bets. Contact me for more info!

Pat,
Shopping proximity to Little Gem Circle is not far. Basics shopping for groceries, a few take outs, local bank ect.. are within 5 minutes driving. There are 2 malls that are about 15-20 minutes away as well at movie theatres. The airport is approximately 10 minutes. Hopefully this covered most of what you are inquiring about. Please feel free to email any further questions you may have. nmanson239@gmail.com

Best
