Lorraine,
It is definitely getting more difficult.....the direct answer is there are plenty opportunities for finding homes without pools in this price range.....however, we find that most pool homes in this price range are 1970's & 1980's costruction.
This does not mean you couldn't find one but it will most likely be a foreclosure that you will need to be ready to move on immediately.
The word is definitely out about the values in North Port and Port Charlotte. We would be happy to provide you with additional information.
Good luck

It is somewhat hard to find a home in North Port built in 1999 or newer with a pool for less than 95k now, however, we do have 56 listings available that do not have pools. We are including the link for these homes for your review:

Some of the pool companies in the area are offering very attractive prices now due to their slowdown in business. We know of a company in our area, who can install a beautiful new pool with screened in cage for around 20k.
Good luck with your home search Lorraine!

MJ

Hi Lorraine!
This is a very reasonable price range for the city of North Port, and it's a great place to live too! There is one property on the MLS right now that matches this exact description, but I would bet that there will be many more soon as foreclosures continue to trickle down the pipe. There are other options as well, however. For example, if you would consider buying without a pool, you could find even sweeter deals - spend $75k on a home without a pool and install one later. You'd probably get more square footage for your dollar, but that's just an idea.
If you'd like to be put on a specialized MLS search, let me know!
Good luck to you - happy home hunting!

Hi, Lorraine,
Right now there are 3 homes in North Port, with your criteria, priced at under $100,000. They are all short sales. Please give me a call. I would be more than glad to set up a search for you and update you as homes come on the market.
