yes...we live in Golf Course Community close to 3 ponds, with gators...BUT everyone knows they are there, infact they are often sun bathing on fairway, so you just keep your distance.

Good sight to search fort myers MLS.

They can be anywhere there is water in South Florida. However, I don't remember the last time I saw one in town or other well populated areas. They do like to keep to themselves, but yes they CAN be anywhere.

Back in the earily 1950's when traveling with my Grandfather across the "Trail" saw some Crocks in Naples area. Don't know if Crocks still are in the area, but for sure they are just East of Naples in Card sound.

I saw one for the first time this year in a lake. I have lived on lakes in Florida for over twenty five years. You usually have to go to a tourist amusement area.

If there is water, there is always the possibility there are gators too. They were here first

Alligators are common in Florida. Just dont feed them - if you do they lose their fear of people.
