I believe the original comparison came from Trulia's "Find Homes" section. Rosalie probably isn't even aware of Trulia Voices. I have had the same problems with Trulia's "Find Homes". They keep sending me comps from Chicago because it border's on Oak Park. These are NOT relevant and mess everything up. They also will use comparable homes based on old or erroneous data. Even if your home is listed for sale with 3500 sq ft, 4 bd, 3.5 baths but the tax records only say 1500 sq ft and 3 bd, 1 bath, Trulia and Zillow.com will make some of their comparisons based on tax data.

Did I miss the origoinal question? No comparison between Oakland and Piedmont at all. If you can point me to the original question, I should be able to help you.

Most definitely. Oakland and Piedmont are different cities and different communities. I too would be interested in seeing where this comparison was made. I wonder if the person making the comparison was not totally aware that Piedmont is a city that is bordered on all sides by Oakland.

You are absolutely correct. There is no comparison to Oakland. Piedmont is it's own community and has it's own school district and one of the best in the State of California.

By the way where did you find this comparison?
