It depends. For assessed value you should contact the town assessor. Value related to a sale or purchase can be evaluated by a real estate agent and/or an appraiser. However, a real estate agent can only offer an opinion, but can share statistics such as recent sales and current available listings at no cost or obligation. Appraisers will charge a fee. As far as a sale, the property will only be worth what a buyer is willing to pay. A seller sets the price based on information that can be obtained through local statistics, but the market response to the property at the offered price is what ultimately determines the value.
