The Carolinas Multiple Listings Service, Inc. (CMLS) reported gross 2008 gross sales of $6,114,765,700. This does not include the Piedmont Area.

The answers had different numbers. The local MLS wont share that info and what data does trulia pull from? This is a great example of why our consumers are so unhappy with our industry. Exactly why do the MLS boards not make the already public information accessile to the publiv?

Hi Steve,

Here are the number of closings:

2009 total closings YTD 9,986
2008 total YTD Jan through December – 26,907

Hope this answers what you are looking for - I do not have total dollars information.

Year to Date we have sold 13197 Single Family homes and Condos in 2009

2008 we sold 28030 Condos and Single Family Homes.
