Pueblo is a great buy, compared to other towns north of us. The projected renovations going on in the Downtown district are sure to increase tourism and anchor more businesses, tired of the over development going on elsewhere. Pueblo West is a great area, with large lots and low crime. We may be
suffering in the short run, but things can only get better here. jimmac01@aol.com
The market in Puelblo has been a little slow for years now compared with some of the front range communities in northern colorado. We are all hoping things will turn in 2009 but I wouldnt expect it to blow up any time soon. Jason Burch 720-352-9038
Honestly, the real estate market in Pueblo was slow long before our current market conditions. That is not to say that the historic district and Pueblo West weren't doing extremely well. There is currently much for sale in Pueblo, it is a buyers market, just like most areas in the nation. But, if you think you'll be in Pueblo for a minimum of a few years I'd definitely buy. My crystal ball broke but I seriously doubt the residential market in Pueblo is going to dry up and blow away in a dust ball. There is a thriving community there and it will continue to grow along with all the other front range cities. Rate of growth will be impacted by too many factors for me to address in this short space so feel free to call and ask if I can help.
Best of luck,
Susan
I couldn't resist commenting as I used to live in Pueblo and mucch of my family still lives in Pueblo. I am curious as well about the answer. I do have friends in the area that can help you with this information. If nobody from that area responds, I can get the answers for you.
