"The Hannibal area is poised for excellent growth in the next few years and years beyond."

Gary: Sorry for the bad news, but Hannibal has dropped badly since he asked. In fact, it was the worse drop ever. The only area we saw growth in was people getting foreclosed on and losing their homes. Good luck.

Phil,

Excellent question! The Hannibal area is poised for excellent growth in the next few years and years beyond. With the completion of the 4 lane addition of US 36 in the fall of 2009 linking Kansas City and Chicago coupled with the 4 lane completion of US 61 from St Louis to St Paul, we are experiencing excellent growth in the commercial interest in the region. Lowes just opened in Hannibal, a new Sams Club in Quincy (18 miles to the north), and with the continued growth of our Regional Health care systems promoting adding 40 plus additional physicians in the area plus added staff point to excellent job opportunities for the region! Economic development is in high gear in the region! Let us know if we can help with additional questions.
