Trulia is a great place to find great renters. You may also try craigslist.

I have seen great results here in Seattle, meaning a place gets good tenants within a few days, when listed with Andrea Jacobi or Lori Gill of Windermere Property Mgt. They do the extra work to screen clients and have good pricing information.

Hi Trish,

Try to list your property for rent on craigslist first and see if you get any response. If this does't work well, then have a professional real estate management company list the property.

I get 100% of my tenants though Craigslist. With a condo you generally cannot put for rent signs in the yard (but if you could, that is another good way).

Recommend to use a Realtor who can represent you and tenant. If this is 1st time you have leased a property much you need to learn . I am a real estate investor know what you are getting involved with

List your home with a property management group could be a great option. You want the rigth tenant not the wrong resident , can make you life into a nightmare

Craigslist is very good and so is Both are free. Be sure to check out any renters with recommedations from past landlords and maybe a credit check.

I came across your question and I know it was asked long ago... but Craigslist is still the best way to advertise. If by any chance, you are looking for a renter for your condo -- and that condo is in the Calif Highlands in West Dublin, I'm interested! If anyone you know is looking for an outstanding renter for the Calif Highlands condo complex (only), let them know about me. I'm looking for a sunny location at the Highlands. I have lots of references, great credit, stable job, etc.

Craigslist is the best place to find easy renters.

I agree. Especially in the Bay Area, Craigslist is the way to go. Do some research (besides CL, also try ) to see what comparable rentals are going for. Make sure to provide a detailed description and multiple photos & use either or to create a professional looking flyer for free.

Another thing to consider; unless you're available for multiple showings, I'd recommend setting aside a couple of hours for an open house and post that in the ad as well.

Good luck!

Hi Trish, Eric's post is correct. Craigslist. When posting there, be sure to post the best pictures you can get of the property. Take time to list the features in a manner everyone can understand. Think about what you liked about the neighborhood when you bought the property. This is another important item: Price it to rent not to sit.

Great Pictures
Great Description
Great Price

There used to be several rental agencies in the area, but they were all put out of business ny Craigslist. You can put ads in the newspaper, but really the most effective way to get the word out that you have a rental property is to post it on Craigslist, and it is free.
