Hi Nele,
I have helped Buyers and Sellers with homes in Golden including some within sight of the towers. There have been many many public discussions regarding the towers and whether or not they pose a health hazard to residents nearby. I have seen pretty well developed arguements in favor of both sides of the issue (no health effect versus negative health impact) In gneral I believe that the most believable information I have seen is from reports that show no correlation between the towers and any negative health effects. Obviously I am not an expert on this topic-- but I have done some research and read some reports from a variety of sources. One well researched blog that I felt seemed objective was http://andrewferguson.net/2006/10/10/hdtv-vs-lookout-mountai
Andrew's research seems extensive and well constructed.
In terms of an impact on real estate prices, I think the impact is negligible. The vast majority of real estate for sale in Golden is outside any purported reach of negative impact of towers. Those few dozen homes that are close enough that anyone would have to consider the impact-- change hands so infrequently that it would be very difficult to determine if any price changes or market demands were impacted by the towers...
I hope this isn't too late to be of help! By the way heres my shameless self-promotion: I have a spectacular luxury home for about to come on the market for sale in Spring Ranch Spring Ranch Real Estate Just a few miles uphill from the top of Lookout Mountain. It's far enough away from the towers that you wouldn't have to worry-- and it will knock your socks off!
