Looking for something a little more up-to-date than this website offers, latest was Feb. sales. Trying to get info for an appraisal that came in much lower than expected.
Hi. I would definately reccomend you talk to a local Realtor who is familiar with your market. This is what we do on a daily basis and are much more familiar with market trends than those outside the business. We have all gone to Web MD for free medical advice, however, if it's serious we usually end up going to a trained Doctor. Home buying is also serious, it's the biggest most important purchase of our lives, you truly should seek professional assistance.
There are many resources for this information:
1. (My favorite) A realtor familiar with your market area should be able to pull this information from your local mls.
2. The Commercial Record in CT is a wonderful resource for solds in your town.
3. Local newspapers often print sold activity weekly
4. Search at your local town hall for recent sale information, that will include both public (MLS) and any private sales that took place.
5. Appraisers in your area..though that will likely cost you.
Good Luck!
Speak with a seasoned realtor in your area that has experience with the appraisal process. I have been a licensed real estate appraiser since 1980 and I have sold real estate since 2005 as a real estate broker. Therefore, I understand the areas of research for recent sold homes in our (Oregon) area. I am sure you will be able to research your area for experienced realtors that have appraisal knowledge.
Speak to a realtor in your area.
