Kind of like asking what kind of gas mileage does a $70,000 car get. You are asking for an answer to something that does not correlate with sale price. Honestly, there is no good range or average either. It depends on what is included in the fee, what amenities are in the development, cost of insurance (flood area or not) and what level of reserves the development keeps. I could go on but I think you probably get my point.

It depends on the community. It could be anywhere from $20 to $300, roughly. That doesn't help, does it?

mfrafrsimi, as mentioned by others your question does not correlate price to HOA or condo fee.

Townhomes are considered single family homes that are attached. Condo can be stand alone villas or units in a mid rise or high rise building. The exterior appearance of the structure has nothing to do with the legal description. This is dependent upon how the developer decided to build the complex at the initial shovel. The developer would have submitted paperwork to the State of Florida as a townhome (hoa) or condo

Often HOAs collect their fees quarterly, semi annually or annually.

The Flood insurance reform act of 2012 has and will impact properties re: cost of policy. This will impact the monthly fees. When you select a complex that you are interested in buying, you can ask this question.

Every community has their own set HOA/Condo fees. If you search for properties in the MLS you will see the HOA/condo fee listed on the MLS sheet. I would be happy to answer any other questions or send you some listings from the MLS to review.

It really depends on the association and what's included. But at a minimum $300.00/month if you can find it for that. There are two currently available in that range, one for $315,000 and $1400/quarter and one for $370,000 and $1038.quarter. The former has a pool, and more grounds to be maintained.

It depends on the community and the amenities and expenses that are covered. Some townhome communities are under Condominium ownership, others are part of a Homeowners Association but are like single family ownership. With a condo you own only the space within your unit and a percentage of the common areas which includes the walls, roof, all the land, amenities, etc. With a townhome that is a single family residence you own your own structure--if it is attached, you will possibly have a shared wall. There are so many variables that it is impossible to gereralize and give even a range. You really have to look at each individual property and determine what is covered by the fees and what you will have to pay separately.

Most are in the $200 to $300 dollar range if it is an upscale place meaning there is a gate and pool with fitness center and all of the bells and whistles it can range $300 to $500. Bear in mind all are different some cover the roof and cable and water and trash as well as they have communities that paint exterior and clean roofs. You really have to look at them one by one, to be fair.

It all depends on complex, what is included for fees, amenities, etc... The link below are some active townhome listings in that price range, with listed amenities and maintenance fee. Im seeing an average of around $500 monthly. Please let me know your thoughts, questions or concerns. Thanks
