Deborah,
In 2013 of the homes that sold the average time on the market was around 125 days.
Keep in mind this is OF THE HOMES THAT SOLD.
That has a lot to do with pricing the home right, making it move in ready, and making the house more of a commodity to be bought than a lived in house, so a buyer who sees it will be able to picture them self in the home to want to buy it. Price range is also a huge factor as the higher the price of the home the fewer the buyers there will be for the home. Of Course then there is the I Gotta Have this Home when you see it and every one falls in luv with the home the minute they see it. For more info give me a call.

Deborah this depends on which market you are looking at. There are a lot of factors that determine how quickly a house sells. If you want some more information about a specific house, an agent can let you know how long it's been on the market. They also usually have data for specific neighborhoods and subdivisions in an area.

Average time does vary by exact location, pricing, condition, size, etc.; therefore if looking to sell/buy, review a cma, comparative market analysis, with your agent; see what the data suggests and go from there...
