I would prefer that most potential buyers not try to look at such a small area when looking at housing averages. Bryn Mawr, in the Lower Merion Township, would be a better spectrum to compare averages. See the link I added to see stats for 2007 Q4. For 2008 Q1, the average salkes price is off by about $40,000, but in the context of $600,000 Main Line homes, that is a small change. The average over 6 months is still between $500k and $700k.
