There are currently 96 lots for sale in Cannonsgate. In the past year only three lots have sold ranging from $138,000 to $175,000. One of those was originally listed for $950,000. With all of the bad publicity Cannonsgate has received recently I do not see a bright future for it until 2012. The glut of listings and lackluster sales will keep it depressed until the rest of the county starts to rebound.
Sales have slowly started to increase in the rest of the county but it is still definitely a buyers market. The best way to sell your property is to list it with a reputable Realtor and let them utilize their marketing skills to give it the most exposure possibel.

Real Estate in Carteret County is doing good. We are selling!
Just last month closed 122 Residential properties; 20 Condos; 10 Townhome's; and 6 lots.
Cannonsgate is a different ball park. Until more homes are built there, it might be longer showing an improvement.
