The fastest growing sections of Haywood County are Maggie Valley and Waynesville. I would recommend either location!
If you are looking for market reports and statistics for real estate in Haywood County, please go to my website.
We love Waynesville! We bought our 2nd home there at the end of 2005 and love it there. We love the friendly "Main Street" of the downtown with it's shops and restaurants, the rec center with indoor pool, workout center and babysitting, waterpark for the kids and just having civilization right there. Our home is closer to Maggie Valley but it's still considered Waynesville and we think we have the best of both worlds....mountains, tranquility and lots to do.
Sure beats South Florida sometimes!
We have many beautiful areas that you should consider for a second home in Haywood County. My answer would be much more informed if I knew your price point, but generally I would look in the Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Iron Duff, and Crabtree areas for a second home. You can search these areas on my website to begin to get a feel for our prices and what you get a different price points. Please feel fre to contact me for more information, or post another question here.
Haywood County is experiencing growth in several areas. Several large anchor retailers are headed our way and of course the Maggie Valley/J-Creek area is reviewing a large planned development. Haywood County is a great location for a second home, our mountains are breathtaking, ski the slopes, shop downtown, spend an afternoon watching Elk...you pick the area based on what you like to do.
