There is a lot of talk of a softening real estate market. How would you describe the real estate market in Palm City?

How long do homes typically sit on the market in this city?

Hi Halley,

The real estate market in Palm City has almost stabilized in the last 6-8 months. I am finding the selling prices in Palm City to be stable since the beginning of the year. However, that does not mean that the listing prices are always reflective of the market. There is still a high expectation for the homes in Palm City to sell at a higher premium than in other areas, and while that may be true in some of the neighborhoods in Palm City--overall, it is not. If a home is priced right (meaning, if it is priced near where comparable sales were) they tend to be on the market for 6 months or less. If they are priced "above the market" they will traditionally last longer on the market, even with price reductions.

I hope this helps explain things for you. If you have any further questions, feel free to contact me.

Palm CIty Farms has a lot to offer. Most homes in this area are on five acre parcels. Good schools etc. Land has declined as everything and there are some really great properties for excellent prices. Some are really very low. It is a great place to live and is getting better every year. Markets have softened and is a agreat time to buy. Check out the web site below, getequestrianproperty.com and see these properties. I hope this helps.

The market experienced incredible price appreciation until 2005. For various reasons, ie; hurricanes, property tax increases and insurance costs, many homes are on the market and prices have come down. I expect this to continue until there is sufficient job growth to sustain prices.
