the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. According to recent reports San Antonio and Houston are also fine. What can we do to get the GOOD NEWS on the streets?

It depends where you are moving from. The last I checked, Texas was still part of the USA. If the majority of the country is in real pain, don't expect people moving to TX for a better life to have a lot of dough to plunk down. The thing you guys should remember is that the population is aging and retirees cannot pay high property taxes. No income tax is nice but remember you don't pay income tax unless you are making money. Beyond that just about EVERYONE has experienced a tremendous loss (either on real estate investments or stock or both). Try not to gloat - my experience has shown that although you may not be suffering today because your end of the boat is still above water, don't expect it to remain that way if the rest of the ship is on its way down.

I totally agree that I am busier this year in Dallas real estate than prior years. IT IS SOOOO DIFFICULT to explain that toooo many buyers how to place offers and etc. thinking they can "low ball offers'... or if they can qualify for a loan they can negotiate the rates... however think positive... go drive Dallas uptown real estate or on a Saturday night the entertainment districts are packed people are out... I love it. ....

WE also have allot of Dallas relocations!

Darin,
Have you ever noticed how the media controls us. Just watch the election and what is going on there . I feel sorry for any one that runs for office. I don't care if I am for them or not I am suddenly on their side when they have to put up with those animals.

No the sky is not falling but 50% of the buyers beleive it is and are out there trying to get 15 to 20 % off on everything. If the bottom had dropped out would not the properties not be listed at a lower price already.

We are not buying used trucks here guys, and when I had to sell mine I did not come down on the price.

The media can only make money on bad news. It is disgusting how screwed up they are. Things in Scottsdale aren't that bad either.
