Sovereign Isle is fairly new to the short term rental market. How is it doing? I own property there.

The short term rental market in Destin is doing just fine--depending on how hard you work at it. The demand is still high. Sovereign Isle is a great little neighborhood, and has everything renters are looking forward--they want a pool, walk to beach (if you have a golf cart, that would help alot), and central location to Destin amenities. What price range were you considering, and how large is your home? We have two large homes in Destin that are rented on VRBO and Gulfcoastrentals.com, and they do very well. They are large homes which could sleep 16+ people, and in peek season go for around 4500/week.. You need to consider the cost of management (yourself or paying someone--charge is usually around 30% of the gross rental). For a good look, go to VRBO.com and put in Destin, or Crystal Beach, or the names of other communities around Sovereign Isle. Call me for more info toll free at 866-814-8810
