HI Kate,

Those are all great questions. Here are some websites that will help you. It is important that you do your home work on all of the areas of interest. Tell me how I can help you in the process. Our office is one of the top 10 offices in Central Florida. Even though you are movin in 6 months there are things you can do now. Once you find a home a traditional sale can take 30-45 days before it closes. In this market we have more bank owned and short sales than traditional ones. These types of sales take longer to close, so you are in a great time frame. Lets talk and I will help you achieve all of your real estate goals. I look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,
Jennifer Barker

Hi Kate,

Thanks for turning to Trulia for your Real Estate questions..You'll get alot of great answers from alot of great agents!

Avalon Park and Lake Nona are both very nice areas, as is Waterford Lakes.

I have been asked many times, what are the "safe" areas in Orlando?

Here are some resources to use when exploring neighborhood options in Orlando and surrounding areas.

Kate,

There are several great areas to raise kids, with wonderful schools. It really depends on your budget.
Just as an example, Seminole County has excellent schools, Windermere does also and Lake Nona, as the new area, near Medical City offers state of the art new schools.
As I said, it depends on your budget.
