As a former student of yours from the seventh grade if you want to live in south Miami look forward to long humid weather as you know Miami is full of crime and the potential for hurricanes and strong as well as
Thunderstorms. My older sister lives in Bradenton and summers there are Hot, Hot Hot. When I toured Miami I saw the Cuban area they were playing cards outside of course.

Hello Guelsis,

In Miami, some areas are better than others - usually that coninsides with how good the schools are in the area (so you got to look at crime rates and school ratings also).

In addition to that, best to drive by the areas of consideration at night - to get a feel for the vibe
of the neighborhood. There many good areas in Miami where you'll feel safe and Miami is getting better and better in so many ways!

Hope this helps,

Doral is considered one of the safest areas... but it's all about which statistics you think are most important. Does petty theft count? What about assault? Or are you only worried about murder? What I think is an acceptable risk would drive some of my relatives to lock their doors and never come back out.

Hi Guelsis,

If I understand you correctly, you are not concerned about the high crime in a specific area but in all of Miami? Well, Miami has - like any other US city - areas that are safer than others.

So if you are from out of town and you are maybe thinking about relocation, you might want to take a look at the Truila crime map here: http://www.trulia.com/local#crimes/miami-fl It will give you an overview of what is going on where.

Please let me know if you have any question or if I can assist you any further.

I can tell you that Miami is not exempt from crime, but neither is Ohio. Crime is everywhere...just some areas more than others...
