Hi Carorojitas,

Neighborhood Scout is a great website that will tell you realestate and demographic information for any area you are interested in. http://www.neighborhoodscout.com/fl/fort-myers/. When I was preparing to make the move to SW Florida really told me all I needed to know and helped me make the decision of where I wanted to live.

I would strongly recommend looking at Cape Coral (just across the Caloosahachee River from Ft. Myers) It is the second safest city in all of Florida and really a wonderful place to live and you can generally get more house for your dollars in the "Cape" as well.

I would be happy to help you with any questions you may have as well as aid you in your search. Please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yes!
Here is a great tool that you can use to find out income by household, education level, median age, real estate price trends, etc. in any particular zip code. You can even compare two different zip codes together. Then via a map, you can locate close shopping, grocery, restaurants, places of worship, etc. It is a great tool.
Check it out.

Are you in the low, medium or high income part of the spectrum?

That is exactly why you need to have an experienced local Agent that can assist you while you are searching. An Agent will explain the types of listings available in particular areas, zip codes and proximity to beaches or other important amenities.

Contact me any time, I am here to help!

Hi Carol:

I believe you can go to the US Census and may be able to get this information.
