Hello David,

Government Hill is in the process to some great changes. There are already new developments in the work and many more in the talks. The location is so ideal for many families and I can not wait to see the changes.

Government Hill is in for some big changes. San Antonio's plan for uptown shows that there is going to be a lot of new development in this area.

As far as rehabbing is concerned, check out where you're buying at.

Some homes are being rehabbed; but be wary, some rentals are just being given superficial "facials" and rents are being raised. Check that hings like electrical and plumbing is being brought up to current code. If you're buying, get proof that renovations have been torn down to the ribs and built back up. These homes need complete restoration from the internal to the outside, they are old.

Yes! As someone who grew up in the neighborhood and whose family still owns a house there, I can say that yes, indeed, they are fixing up the neighborhood slowly but surely. Civil works like drainage and sidewalks, personal works like home improvement, and the building of a large clutch of development on the west end of the neighborhood that looks to bring luxury apartments to the area should make home values increase. They already have, in fact, to the point that a lot of land owners and speculators have lightened their ballast by selling homes well above their value from just 5 years ago.
