There are websites with crime statistics. Realtors ethically cannot provide specific information on crime.

We have already talked to them, they just give you a web site that's no help at all. I have a friend who is a retired relator so we know a relator can't, the question was not meant for one.

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

As a realtor I am unable to answer questions regarding crime... However you can contact the local police department and they are happy to provide you with that information. Also, often times, a crime will be reported in the local newspaper and a quick search on the internet will give you some valuable insite into an area.
