I live 15 min from Lawrence, and I have a lot of knowledge about the area. The price drop here is not as dramatic as some other parts of country. The market in Lawrence does have a lot of homes listed at this time, and some sellers are eager to sell which can help a buyer get a great price, just remember that not every seller is being pressured to sell and most want a fair price for their home. North Lawrence is a great area of town in terms of lot sizes, many of the older homes were actually solitary farm homes at one time and often still have huge lots around them. A newer home may also have a larger lot, than you may find in the subdivisions of other areas of Lawrence. You do need to be aware of flooding, the Kansas River is close by and many parts of N. Lawrence are affected. Are you familiar with Lawrence in general? I would love to send you info on Lawrence and Douglas County. Please call me for more information, Lisa Slavin, Stephens Real Estate Inc. 785-423-0938. Or email: lisaslavin@stephensre.com I have shown many homes in this area. Happy hunting.

The market in North Lawrence is staying steady. The home prices here did not inflate like the coast markets did. You can still get good value for your dollar in Lawrence. I would be happy to show you some Lawrence property so that you can get a feel for what the market is like & see the wonderful home value you can get for your money. Please feel free to contact me anytime by phone or email. Marilyn Lentz (785)845-2530.
