Is pacific palisades a quiet area, or a place with lots of action? Are there actors or singers who live in this area?

Pacific Palisades is a suburb of the City of Los Angeles with a small town environment. It is located on a hill above the Santa Monica Bay (where there are a number of beaches), between the cities of Santa Monica and Malibu. It is a very affluent area that attracts celebrities as well as families. Within Pacific Palisades there are different neighborhoods, around the small village, center of town. Each neighborhood, The Huntington, The Alphabet Streets, The Riviera, The Highlands, has its own characteristics. And some are quieter than others. But none have the noisy environment of a big city. It usually is closed down by 9 pm or earlier.

Yes, Pacific Palisades is a quiet area. There definitely is NOT lots of action. Geographically it is fairly unique with its close proximity to the ocean and Mediterranean weather. Prior to the 1970s it consisted largely of professionals and some celebrities. More and more, the trend has been an increasing number of celebrities, entertainment professionals and other high earners.

While technically the most western part of the city of Los Angeles, it is not referred to as West LA. West LA is another area, about 20 minutes to the east of Pacific Palisades (with no traffic). This is where UCLA is located. West LA, and adjoining Santa Monica and Venice, is about as west as you can get where there is lots of action.

Farther east (a little bit) gets you into West Hollywood (nothing but action).
