Is Lakeview going to be what it was before Katrina?

I am a Realtor with Latter & BLum, Inc. and I work out of our 7039 Canal Blvd. office. I wonder if anyone else beleive that Lakeview will return to it's original status Pre-Katrina??? I love the area and it differs from Uptown in many ways but the sales for Uptown appear to be stronger.

As Craig says...it will never be the same. Those cheaply non-architect, poorly designed things they are calling modular in the long term remove the essence of why one would live in Lakeview...combine that with the extravagant insurance premiums it does not make sense to live there....yet.

I dont believe it will be what it was before. I believe it will be redeveloped completely at some time or another, but there are too many modular homes, cheap repairs, and smaller homes than what was once there.
Before it was the place to be, now I believe people are staying away because the home values and prestige are no longer there.
