I don't think that Crowley would be a good place for investment. Unless you are really looking long term such as 12-15 years. The entire area down to Burleson has been experiencing tremendous growth with new construction and infrastructure is underway.

If you are looking strictly at investing to rent, you probably want to concentrate where there are major employers, universities. We are unfortunately still behind on our Public transportation system. If you decide to sell within the next 4-6 years you will be competing with new home construction.

Crowley is still somewhat on the edge of town. I'd suggest investing closer to the city centers, if possible on commuter lines and/or with demand factors in the area....schools, companies, univerisities, employers, etc. I'm not sure any of those exist in Crowley at the moment. Nice place to live though if you just want to buy a house to live in.
