Welcome to South Central PA!
This is a lovely area and still doing relatively well, economically. Franklin Co, the county directly below Cumberland (where Camp Hill is located) has been the fastest growing area in PA for many months in the last 2 or 3 years. Expansion has slowed, but un-employment still stands at under 10% here as well as in York & Cumberland counties.
Depending on what brings you to "CampHill area or surrounding areas", there is a lot to recommend settling a step or 2 away from the busier metro Harrisburg area, hwere similar rentals are less expensive/per sq ft. What are you looking for in terms of rental? Convenience ,and close to work or country and privacy? Is size or cost more important? Single family, or apartment space?
