I just showed property across from Frito Lay and was pretty surprised at the mix. There were new homes that were in the $300K+ range mixed with Mobil Homes in the - range. So I would say to be very careful! Also most of the roads were not paved...lots of pot holes. However, property for $1K depending on what it is could be a good investment. Just rememberr all the land they sold around California City that is and was questionable...research, research,research!
