I'm trying to find any supported statistical data for homes that sold in Gainesville FL late 2005-early 2006

and were resold late 2008-early 2009. Trying to find an average decline in price over that period because of the fall of the housing market.

Hello Scott,
I just wrote a blog on a similar topic, reporting on Gainesville home sales trends from 2005 through 2009.....statistical data used shows # of homes sold and median home sale price for each of those years .... if you'd like to read it, please click on the link below.

Scott,
Your best bet is to review the sold properties by neighborhood by date range on the Alachua County Property Appraisers website. This data can then be compared with the same data for similar sized homes, age and neighborhood homes for the later date range. Most appraisers base their comparisons by age of home built (+ or - five or six years), heated and cooled square footage (+ or - 500 or so feet) and within the same neighborhood. In some case 1 mile radius of homes sold can be used.

I hope this help. Here is the website: http://www.acpafl.org

Good luck,
