The gated community near the Ritz Carlton is named "Ocean Colony" in Half Moon Bay. This community was originally built around a championship golf course in the mid 70's and is reaching its last building phase next year.

It is located just south of Half Moon Bay on Highway One approximately 2 miles. The cross street is Fairway Drive. The homes range from $800K up to $3million depending on the age, size, location, and quality of home. The market in this community has adjusted dramatically over the last 2 years with almost 20% decrease in values on some homes. The very fact that this community is so close to the Ritz Carlton makes this community very attractive for buying right now.

There are two golf courses now, a fitness center with pool, discounts at the Ritz , other restaurants, and golf for being a homeowner.
