Kelly, Normally a Realtor(R) would offer the best marketing for your rental property. However, I just searched the Montcalm and Southwestern Michigan MLS's and did not find any homes in a search from zero to $2,000. In our area, people are able to place homes for lease in the Multiple Listing Service, so that is something you would need to verify before signing with a Realtor(R).

Kelly, just to ask, do you still owe money on the mortgage? If so, I would review your mortgage agreement and verify you are not unintentionally committing mortgage fraud. Some mortgages have specific clauses that do not allow you to rent or lease your home. If there is a doubt, I suggest contacting your lender or a real estate attorney.

There are many websites, like Trulia that allow you to market your home yourself. If this is a weekly vacation rental there are also many Michigan websites to place your home as a vacation rental. Contact me and I will go over your options.

I work in Oakland County, and do not know anything about Six Lakes, but I would recommend you find a good local Realtor to help you find a tenant. They will devise a marketing plan to get the home noticed.
