If your Realtor and you shop carefully together, you will still come across some good buys. Don't try to go it alone. Go sit down with your Realtor at his office.
I think everything is too expensive, from food to gas to entertainment.

Hi Mariummolez,

There is currently a shortage of houses for sale relative to the number of buyers in the market. This causes prices to go up - because there are more buyers than there are houses available for sale - therefore, demand causes prices to rise.

We are still at historical low prices, but since the banks are controlling the distressed inventory on the market, there are less options. And many sellers are still not venturing into the market. There is an inventory shortage and prices are inching up, but if you look at even prices in 2000-2003 before the bubble - we are still at good prices.
