I would like to know if there are still some good values in the Kennebunkport, ME area and if the homes that are on the market are selling. Can anyone help? If no one has first hand knowlege, where should I go to get this information?

This is a very simple observation, my apologies, but given the current economic climate the "High End" market is just not moving. Anything over $350k is hard to finance and Cash investors are opting for Foreclosed properties to flip, which is still a good business opportunity. Multi units in Greater Portland are plummeting back to sensible Cash Flow scenarios and this is also a nice investment. If you buy at "Retail" in Kennebunk in 2009, you'll likely take a 20% loss for 2010 as the current depreciating market forces tell us.

Contact me if you want to know more about Foreclosed properties in Southern Maine.
Best of luck!

Hi Leigh, now is the time to invest in real estate! The Swan Agency Sotheby's International Realty has a Commercial and Lodging division and we are seeing more and more people "buy themselves a job" in this current economy. Whether it is buying a B&B where one can live, work and earn a living or simply a commercial investment property - people are realizing that the real estate market is less volatile than the stock market. For a wonderful B&B with great income, check out http://www.maineinnsforsale.com/properties there are a few in Kennebunkport that may be of interest. Let me know if you need further info, Erica Bates.

Leigh,
I live in Kennebunkport so I have a very good idea of the market conditions there. Still some great buys to be had under the 400K range specifically in the Cape Porpoise area. If you would like any detailed info, my email is jgrady@pruseacoast.com.

I spent last week showing 25 homes in Kennebunkport. There is one very good investment in the $600,000 range. There is also a fixer-upper for $250,000 which is worth considering. However, there are no deals on the waterfront that I can see.

Hi Leigh,
I live in York County Maine and have listings in the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport area. Yes, there are still some good values in Kennebunkport. Current statistics for Kennebunkport - 86 single family homes for sale ranging from 189K to 7+ million. There were 7 single family sales in August and there are currently 12 under contract to sell. Let me know how I can help you. You can reach me by email, keason@kw.com or by cell phone 207-232-0598.
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Leigh, I work for Century 21 in Kentucky so I am not personally familliar with the Kennebunkport area but there are some very good Century 21 agents in that area that could answer those questions. You can get my contact information from my website and I would be happy to put you into contact with them. Thanks. SC

I am very familar with the mid-coast waterfront area from Freeport to Boothbay Harbor. I suggest you contact Remax broker in the Kennebunkport area for advice on that area.
