I live In Milford and love it but the market is moving quicker on the low end homes. The homes above 250,000 move a little slower up to 6 months! Hopefully this helps ,milford is a great community and vital!

The market at the lower end ($80-200K) is moving fairly well, mainly with first time buyers. The maket from $200K -300K is slow and above $300K the market is pretty much stalled. That is good news for anyone moving into the area and lookng for homes above $200K. There are great deals right nowand lots of inventory to choose from.

It is a buyers market.Depending on the size and location of the home. Milford ia moving homes about 6 months to a year is not unreasonable.

It is a buyer's market, but that means if you want to move up in size or location (eg lake front) it is an great time to do it. Your current home must be priced right, but the sellers of the more expensive property are taking a large hit in price. For example the market is depressed by 10% means the owner of a $100,000 home looses $10,000. The owner of a $200,000 homes gets $20,000 less. So you can get a bargain moving up in price. I would recommend waiting if you are downsizing and can wait.

Milford MI is experiencing a buyers market just like the entire Southeastern Michigan region. There is an over-supply of homes on the market and many of the homes are staying on the market 6 months or more. Buyers are getting some really sensational deals right now. To search for homes in this area visit my website at http://www.MInextHome.com and click the "Search the MLS" button. If you have any further question I would be more than happy to answer them.
