Nobody can really predict the future...especially in matters such as finance, home prices, employment, etc. With that said, Akron has received a bit of press lately regarding home prices. As of mid-month in August, prices were up about 36% from a year ago, the largest price gain in the ENTIRE country. Akron even gained more than cities such as San Francisco, CA! You can't deny these findings. This is a great boost for Akron as it was published in mutiple newspapers. And, as a life long "Akron-nite" I know how great this city is and all the hidden surprises that can be found around the city like the wonderful Art Meuseam, great resurants, a thriving art community, beautiful parks, our great "Keep Akron Beautiful" volunteers & a growing college community @ Akron U. If you keep your eye open & look around the city whether it be West Akron, North Akron, etc. and all the communities in between Akron is pulling through and growing as a community.

Generally speaking the future looks about like the present. There are a lot of houses on the market now, and many more waiting for any signs of increased buyer activity.
We just have to remember that, while sellers are not getting what they would like to get for their existing homes, they can make it up on the house they are going to buy to replace it.
Prices go up and down together, so there is no advantage to waiting to sell or to buy.
In the meantime we do not want to let the opportunity presented by these extraordinarily low interest rates pass us by.
