Lee, you shouldn't talk about these places like you do unless you've been there yourself.

They are building again in Pittman Park.

In regard to Pittman Park's commute... I can't vouch for it.
But, I can vouch for driving in to town at any time of day from outside of the perimeter on the West side.

I can leave pretty much at any time and it takes me less than 30 minutes to get to Virginia Highlands/Piedmont Park.
If I'm going up in to Buckhead, it's going to be more like 40 or 45 minutes...
The worst part of the commute is the connector. If you don't have to get on the connector, there is usually not an issue. If there is no huge catastrophe on the interestate, I can usually be at the connector within 20 minutes.
And, coming home is never a problem unless you have to go past Thornton Rd (I don't).

Another great thing about that side of town is access to the airport, 15-20 minutes from where I am and I don't get on an interestate, I use Camp Creek.

I lived in Gwinnett County for 13 years... my commute was rarely less than an hour and often it was up to 2 hours, that was hell.

20ish miles and a 45 minute to one hour commute on some weekdays...it's out in the country!

The commute is about 20 miles to downtown Atlanta. Let me know if you are looking for a REALTOR to assist you in your home buying needs.
