You can expect to find Danbury homes priced in the $550,000 range to be selling for 3-5% less than in Fall 2008. Increased pressure from preforeclosure & bank owned properties continues to weigh heavy on price reductions across the board. When atleast 2 properties in particular close in the upcoming month I expect to see the median price for these type of homes to be driven down even further. With historically low mortgage rates & a real estate market near bottom now is an excellent time to make a real estate purchase. For specifics on recent home sales or the reduction status of any of the comparable homes used in compiling this data feel free to contact Peter at (203) 442-3873 or email PETERTESTA@yahoo.com (source: Greater Fairfield County Multiple Listing Service data)
