family member because it was listed by B&W. Could anybody explain the huge difference to me. I don't understand how this is possible. Thanks in advance.
it is still listed for 599,900
If you choose to live there you will be enjoying one of the most beautiful places in the country. The 5 acre zoning keeps the estates and horse farms from being encroached on. The forest preserves, network of ring trails, huge 100+ acre estates/farms/ranches, beautiful older contemporaries and reasonable prices make it a great option that many overlook. My parents have our family farm and houses there and they have had all the animals and a great life there for 40 years. I could probably arrange for you to get a free African Pygmy Goat to keep your horses company.
If you want to look at some areas and homes, just give me a buzz.
Emma. Tell them 750k and you will put a contract on it today. I bet they take it.

My guess---typo----probably 837K
You guys are fast. Thanks a lot for the answers. I saw it on trulia, you can see the price by going over the red pin on the map. Not sure how reliable that is. Here is the link :

I am observing the area for now but would like to move there in the future. Regards, Emma
It was first listed for $1,200,000. I looked through the Cook County Recorders files at http://www.ccrd.info and can not give you an exact answer. 5 acres and a nice house in the Hills is obviously worth a lot more. I used to ride my motorcycle near there, as I grew up around the corner. My folks still have the farm there. Where did you see it? Could it have been a TYPO? Or else someone got an outstanding deal. I show the listing was cancelled on 6/11/08. There have been some low sales, but not that drastic....Are you looking for a home near there? I can show/send you homes that meet your needs and dreams....
I have info that says it was canceled----where did you see that sales price? It was originally listed at 1.2M and reduced to 848K on the market 262 days-- canceled as of 11-June-2008
