Hello Arlene,

Might I suggest that you check out the schools in Cobb County at this website There are also some great private schools in the area such as The Walker School and Mt Paran Christian Academy. Hope that helps.

What type of schools are you referring to?

There are many great schools in Georgia, but to determine what you think might be the best school I would go to the following websites:‎‎‎

Schools are a very individual decision, good school for one child may not work as well for another, it all depends on what it is that you are looking for for your child, including the extra curricular activities they offer. So parents really should a) check the report cards of the schools they may be moving into and then b) physically visit the schools and take a tour and talk to teachers etc.

Realtors whether they have or do not have children of their own in a certain school should not give you
any advice on BEST SCHools, also talk to other school parents...

Good Luck

Hate to be "tongue in cheek" But the question is "How time and money do you have??" I have raised children in the NE US, the Deep South - N Orleans, and in the Metro Atlanta area I have some experience of which I speak! If one parent at least is stay home and involved, in a upwardly mobile community you might have a good shot and trust me I am bullish on Atlanta

If you are looking for high schools you might want to check out this article: - "Forsyth County High Schools Earn Highest SAT Scores in the State". This is an area north of Atlanta where there are wonderful neighborhoods and great places to live! I have lived here for the past twelve years raising three children through the school system and currently have two children at Georgia Tech.
