Are property values on the decline in Athens?

Athens prices will hold steady for the short term if the inventory remains like it is now. At the end of 2011 and through January, many of lower priced homes were purchased everywhere. Now there are far fewer homes that are available at big discounts, or even any kind of discounts. This helps to stabilize the market. If the number of houses stays lower then the prices will hold steady and eventually increase.

That depends on what part of Athens you are in, doesn't it?

In general, the median price across Georgia has been declining for months.

But, that doesn't matter.

What matters with a property's value in Athens depends upon the exact location of that property in Athens, not some median or average valuation...
