I have lived there since 2000, it was the best thing I have done since I moved to AZ 24 years ago. Great schools, close-knit community. I commute into Phx every day, but wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Great sports programs for the kids, too.

Newland Communities acquired the EMR project not too long ago and has stepped up some community projects adding to the overall look. For those that live in Estrella, they love it. The lakes, community center including pool, water slide, entertainment center, hiking trails, mountain views and golf course are all coveted attractions.

Quality track builders such as Ashton Woods, Morrison, TW Lewis and others plus custom homes sites on over an acre are available.

The only negative to the development is the location from the I-10. It seats another 7 miles south. But as judged by the +/-3,000 homes in Estrella Mountain Ranch, it isn't that much of a deterrent.

Goodyear is a very nice city that has changed a lot in the last few years, increasing their appeal to buyers. With the new mall going in and all the commerial/retail areas popping up, it makes it a nice city with all the ammenities close by, Avondale and Litchfield Park has as well. Estrella is a nice community within the Goodyear, however, a good distance from I-10 for a commute to downtown Phx.
