Great question....and its all related per home. Water bills are paid quarterly....and to answer directly is difficult. I agree with Sondra below regarding average them out per the year....Great question to ask your agent who would work for you to help gather when buying a home. Thanks!

It is difficult to answer your question with specifics since utilities will vary so much from one house to another and depending on the number of occupants within that home. Newer homes are much more efficient but many older properties have had additional insulation, new windows and new heating and cooling units added to make them more efficient. The gas and electric companies will allow you to go on a budget plan which looks at the last 12 months use history and then simply bills for that each month. In this way you can anticipate what your billings will be monthly.

When working with buyers I generally will ask to see the last 12 months of billings for the utilities so that buyers can evaluate whether that property makes sense for their budget.

Those very from house to house, and family to family. An updated well insulated house will heat for much less than, one that hasn't had newer insulation added, or has outdated mechanicals. Water is billed quarterly, and again is based on cosumption, rates are very typical for the area.
