There are almost as many answers to this question as there are insurance agents....however, If you have a home that is interesting to you ask the current owner what premiums they are paying. Often an insurer with current coverage in place already has the elevation certificate, wind mitigation certificate and four point inspection. If you do not have a grasp on these concepts as they apply to the barriers islands, call me and I can help you better understand.
My specialty is waterfront property and elevation certificates are essential. I work with insurance professionals who have access to inventory, yes insurance is also an inventory commodity, and have the expertise to quote with credits. Especially on the waterfront, you need an insurance proessional experienced with flood and wind.

Congratulations, Rob! You will love your Whitney Beach Condo and its easy access to the village restaurants, the plaza shops and or course, the Beach!
Most of my clients are pleasantly surprised when they start "shopping" insurance. With a condo, you are not insuring the entire structure, the association does that, so your personal insurance can be comparatively low.
If you will give me your email, and the unit number of the unit you have purchased, I will forward the information to three agents with whom I regularly do business. Having the listing will provide the agent with a lot of the information necessary to provide you with a quote.
Welcome to Longboat!
