How is the rental market for single family homes in Plano?

Asked by guitarlover, Plano, TX Mon Jan 7, 2013

I will be soon married and will be moving into a large house. Instead of selling my existing home, I am considering keeping it and renting it out instead. It's a 1500sq.ft home in the 75025 area.
I was wondering what the rental market is like and if finding renters quickly is going to be a challenge?

Thank you

Congrats on the wedding! You will want to talk to a mortgage professional about the qualification process and how keeping the rental home will affect you on the purchase of your new home. However, the rental market in Plano (and most of the DFW area) is VERY busy. Most homes lease very quickly - and at this time there are not too many choices for renters to choose from, which makes it a good time to be a landlord.

I would love to meet with you to assess the property and help you determine a fair rental value (or a fair market value to sell if you decide to go that route). I am also able to send you some general information about the market where you home is located via email (at no cost to you).

Please call/text/email me with the property address and your email address and I will send you the information to help you get started.

Have a great day!

Good morning,

The rental market in Plano is very good in Plano. If your property is in good shape, then you can expect to receive rents at the top of the range and to find a tenant pretty quickly. I'm available if you would like to discuss details. I see 5 homes currently on the market for lease in 75025 that have between 1300 and 1600 sf. Rents range from $1350 to $1595 per month.

Based in Plano and experienced with landlord and tenant representation, I would be glad to assist.
