You might check out the Trulia crime heat map, or check with Hurst PD.

We're advised to avoid reporting on non-property statistics. Either the FBI or local. Police will have the most accurate and current information when it comes to crime rates and other community safety statistics. Happy New Year!

When it comes to any safety/crime related issues, it's always best to contact the local police department with all your questions, hear all there is to hear firsthand. If unfamiliar with the area(s) do revisit more than once and at different times of day, possibly chat with locals/neighbors. Real estate professionals are prohibited from steering, enticing a buyer to purchase/rent, or not, in specific neighborhoods.

Hi, You can visit http://www.HomeFair.com and click on the city reports section for in-depth crime stats and area demographics. Other options would be http://www.SpotCrime.com and http://www.CrimeReports.com for specific street info.

Unfortunately, real estate agents cannot tell you if this is a "safe" area or not because it is a violation of fair housing laws (the government trying to protect you). However, there are some good resources where you can find this information.

Trulia has a Crime heat map that you can use to get a general idea. Find the HEB area here: http://www.trulia.com/crime/#!dallas-tx/14/32.82471,-97.1498…

You can also go to the city police department and ask for crimes in a specific neighborhood or for an address that you are interested in.

Here is a blog on my website about this: http://finddallashomesforsale.com/safest-neighborhoods-in-dallas/

If I can do anything to help you, please don't hesitate to give me a call.
